Tassie :)
From being friends of a friend, to being friends. So Day 1: Arrived at Launcheston airport at 1.25pm. Took our car (Toyota Corolla) and headed to the CBD for lunch. The CBD is like a suburb here in Melbourne. So small, we can hardly find a restaurant/cafe that satisfy our hunger, let alone smell any food fragrance from anywhere D: Lol, ok exaggerating a bit (but only a bit). We did find a place in the end and had a pie each :) Headed to Hobart straight and arrived at our Motel around 6pm. After checking in and unloading our stuffs, we headed to Hobart CBD in hunt for dinner. aka seafooddd ^^ We walked/drove around after, trying in vain to find a place for dessert. Like seriously, no cafes like Max Brener? or even just basic hot chocolate?? or maybe we lousy D: Nice night scenery though ;P Day 2: Woke up at 6.30am to shower and had the benefit of capturing sunrise from the back of our room. Love it. 1st stop: Cadbury Chocolate Factory Not too bad. The chocolates were cheaper there! and we had a free cadbury milk chocolate bar each. I love free stuffs 2nd stop: Mt Wellington Got ice! Super cool cannn xD Took us about 2hours to get there (when it's supposed to be only 30mins from our motel) due to unreliable gps that brought us to don't know where. We turned it off and relied on the road signs and asked around in the end. lol 3rd stop: Margate Pancake Train My banana and chocolate pancake topped with vanilla ice cream and cream. Super yum :) 4th stop: Kingston Beach 5th stop: Lower Sandy Bay This tall building is like the only tall building in Hobart (from what we see from Mt Wellington). This, is Wrest Point. Hobart's casino/hotel. We went in to see but didn't go in the casino. For what right... we have Crown. Crown is bigger and nicer. And by bigger and nicer, I meant the building and designs, not the gambling. Duh 6th stop: Salamanca Market Dinner @ Ball & Chain Grill We went to Woolworths after and bought maggie in cup + campbell instant soup for breakfast. Day 3: *While having our maggie in cup + hot choc...* Grace: Oh look! there's two ducks outside! Aileen: See see! Grace: *opens door* Me: Take picture take picture! *After a few minutes* Grace: Woah! SO many ducks! Aileen: How many? Two? Grace: No. A LOT. `Picture below ---> Woah!! Lol. We think they smelled our breakfast. heh So. 1st stop: Port Arthur Historical Site Arrived at 11am when we planned to get there by 10am. Lousy gps again lah. lol we spent a good few hours there. Awesome place. Interesting stories. 2nd most haunted house in Australia. Church. Hospital. Harbour cruise. Nice weather. Green grasses. Fresh air. So so good. 2nd stop: Richmond for Curried Scallop Pies, and bought a bottle of chocolate hazelnut honey. This is absolutely delicious! 3rd stop: Barilla Bay Dinner This Mushroom sauce crepe is yum beyond words. Love it the most! Mushrooms are always the best! ^^ Epic car key finding moment. lol Had fish & chips for supper but it wasn't as yummy as Melbourne's. lol headed back to the motel, showered, played Big 2, and had awesomely hillarious whispering-pillow talk with Aileen. Day 4 (Last day): Took some pictures of the sceneries behind our room after checking out. Went for car wash. Stopped by Salamanca Market. So many people. So many things to see. So many nice musics. Had our last grilled oysters at Mures Lower Deck. Headed to the aiport. And The End. :)
