Celebrating NYE & NY

New year's eve started with 11am Avatar with Herry, Ken, Simon and Aileen @ Imax and got movie sick after 30mins through the movie but I managed to stay til the end. So I've learned my lesson, I think. The movie was really good tho :)



After movie, we headed to Pancake Parlour for lunch (with Simon's mum too) as we had vouchers: 2 for the price of 1.





Then we headed to Lygon for Gelati as it was a hot day. Imagine walking from melbourne museum to Pancake Parlour on Bourke st, and then to Lygon under the blazing sun and heat, just to find out that Il Dolce Freddo is closed. We were DEVASTATED. Aileen left after that as she had to work :(




So we decided to walk down the street to see if other gelati shops are open. And we found one: Casa Del Gelato. So I ordered strawberry and lemon, different from the usual roche and cookies because I needed something refreshing. and regretted big time. because it was not as nice :(




After that, we walked back to Simon's place to play Beans (it's a card game where we plant beans and try to collect as many coins as possible to win the game).





Then Simon and Ken played computer game while I watched tv. Aunty Joanne cooked us dinner and I sort of only helped to lay the table, a bit. lol




Watched Simon and Ken play games, onlined for awhile, and tv-ed. Had ice cream and countdown-ed with the tv, heard the fireworks and went out to watch for a bit under the rain. Went back in and continued watching from the window. Drank a glass of red wine, and home sweet home :)

Woke up around 11.30am today and went for lunch with sis and Herry @ Footscray. And hence, the end of NY celebration. Outside is a little gloomy today, but I like it :)

On another note, I started job hunting 2 days ago and am gonna edit my resume and cover letter so that I can apply ASAP! Wish me da best!
